Consultation
Elevate your practice by consulting about client situations that leave you feeling stuck or questioning your capacity. You will gain advanced knowledge and and build on the skills you already have in a strength-based, safe environment. We will explore challenging situations together, particularly around complex trauma, attachment wounds, early childhood trauma as well as healing intergenerational trauma.
EMDR consultation provides professional guidance and support to help clinicians strengthen their EMDR therapy skills, deepen case conceptualization, and apply the EMDR approach with greater confidence and effectiveness. Consultation can assist therapists at all stages of learning, from integrating basic training into clinical practice to pursuing advanced competency and certification. Hours toward EMDR certification can be completed through both individual and group consultation. A new Consultant-in-Training (CIT) Group is planned to begin in Fall 2026 or January 2027, offering additional opportunities for clinicians interested in developing their consultation skills and working toward becoming an EMDR consultant.
How Does Therapy Consultation Help?
Consultation Groups
EMDR Consultation Groups offer a collaborative and supportive learning environment where clinicians can deepen their EMDR skills, enhance case conceptualization, and gain practical insights from both the consultant and fellow participants. Group consultation provides exposure to a wide range of clinical presentations, treatment approaches, and perspectives, enriching learning beyond what is possible through individual consultation alone. Participants benefit from shared knowledge, professional connection, and the opportunity to explore challenges and successes in a confidential and engaging setting. Group consultation hours may also be applied toward EMDR certification requirements, making it an effective and cost-efficient way to advance your EMDR practice and professional development.
